Sales Executive / Business Development Position

The Position:

Working alongside our group of talented, driven individuals we provide a proactive, dynamic working environment and offer the opportunity to apply expertise and creativity in developing this position. Our group exemplifies strong teamwork with a genuine enthusiasm for selling!

Reporting to our Executive Vice President, you will be responsible for lead generation, pre-qualifying leads and driving sales of business solutions and related services to a specific marketplace in a competitive environment. Your ability to establish and maintain relationships with high-level executives within suspect organizations will be pivotal to your success in qualifying leads early. You will spot the key indicators of growing organizations and be able to identify real opportunities by asking the tough questions early in the sales cycle.  You must be able to provide real value to “business conversations” with C-level and Ownership about their organizations and industry. Your sharp reasoning and business acumen will help you navigate a prospect through our focused sales methodology and articulate a compelling value proposition to prospects.  Once a lead is qualified and established as a valid prospect a large degree of sales support is provided throughout the remainder of the sales process.  Primary focus is on opening the right doors.

The Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years outside sales experience in Software or Business Services to end-users using a solution selling or complex sales model.
  • Specific experience within the Low Voltage Contractors industry is a huge advantage.
  • Be a top producer by exceeding quotas in past positions.
  • A record of prospecting and securing mid-sized privately held accounts through cold calling, consultative selling, relationship development and effective negotiation.
  • Experience selling into the Ownership, C-Suite and VP levels.
  • Must have experience conducting discovery calls/meetings to identify and expose core challenges.
  • Must have the ability to understand the root-cause of business problems and have the ability to articulate the effect of status quo on the business and the value of resolving them.
  • Ability to align a prospects challenges with aspects of our solution and prove value and ROI.
  • Posses the ability to negotiate contractual terms to close a sale.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Must be able to open doors and deliver an articulate and succinct value proposition.
  • A strong understanding of business in general and the key metrics that are used in managing and growing a business.
  • Must encompass and value personal integrity and intellectual honesty.
  • The ideal candidate must possess a sense of urgency and self discipline.
  • A successful candidate understands personal responsibility.

Intermediate to Senior MS/SQL Server Developer

Knowledge and Skills

Solid foundation in Business and Accounting principles. No…seriously… you must know what Debits and Credits are and not just for your own bank account.

Strong MS SQL Programmer with experience in at least 2 other languages. Inner, Outer and dynamic views should be terms that make you smile and rub your hands together.

Strong understanding and experience in the Windows Environment. Mice are a necessity, not a preference.

  • You have strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
